This was one of your best, brother. It's also a reminder about strategy. We need to conserve our ammo for the real monsters, not waste it on minions and dupes. Defeating an enemy is good. Turning an enemy into a friend is better. We won't always be able to do the latter, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn't try. Even if Zegler can't be saved, someone else in a similar situation might be.

Thanks, man. Despite her flaws, Zeglar's obviously a genuine artist at heart, and true artists are a rare commodity, so I hope she overcomes her delusions and demons and gets to the other side of whatever her journey is and makes something really great.

Ziegler could easily shift back to music, throw the politics behind her, and make a good living. She might not be on Hollywood magazines then, but would have a dedicated fanbase and live a life she enjoys. While she was incredibly toxic, people have short attention spans.

I appreciate that you have some genuine care and love for her while still being aware of the culture war stuff. Too many culture warriors get consumed by the darkness.

Disney (and Hollywood generally) contains an endless supply of material for essaying... but I usually choose to stay away, simply because it's so consistently stupid.

Yours was a empathic and layered examination of Zegler!

The Minecraft phenomenon is fascinating. And yes, the transition to that from the woke stuff of yore had been crazy fast. Who could’ve known even 2 years ago that we’d all get tired of all of it? And this change in expectations is being led by the generational cohort whom I’ve long written off as illiterate, socially incompetent vegetables. The Lord works in mysterious ways indeed.

And yes, Zegler has a great voice, and it’s a shame that she was poisoned with the Hollywood Kool-Aid. This seems to be the preferred pipeline for today’s singers.

Here was my piece on the Minecraft hysteria. Great minds think alike.

Very enjoyable post. Of course Chrissie Hyndes politics didn’t matter because she shagged Ray and Dave and was pretty much my fetish woman back in the day.

And I guess she also wrote Rush Limbaugh's theme song: https://youtu.be/thu8DWsirJo

Thanks for the link Daniel. I thought the Pretenders first album was one of the best debut albums I’ve ever heard.
