That would be a great era! That was before my time, though, so I stuck with what I know. That said, over the course of my life, our civilization has declined markedly. Following that trend backwards in time, it appears likely that things really were even better in the mid-70s than they were in the mid-80s or 90s.

Not sure about "better," but I guess it depends on who you ask. Certainly for car movies the 50's-70's exceed the more recent years, in my opinion.

Probably for any kind of movie. It seems like half of today's movies are bad remakes of the hits from previous eras.

Good story. I will write a Substack note about it and try to post it on Twitter.

Finally someone makes the logical connection between time and space.

To traverse one, one would need to traverse the other.

Ha ha! I hadn't thought of that. The galaxy is on the move, fast. I worked out once how fast we are moving, as the planet spins, as it spirals around the galaxy, as the galaxy rushes through space. I think it was something like 500,000 miles per hour, give or take.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy to think about! No wonder I feel jet-lagged all the time, even though I rarely go anywhere: I legit traveled a few million miles yesterday!
