You should become a dad, especially if you want to live a meaningful life, become as virtuous as you possibly can, and influence the culture in a positive way.
While I 100% agree with your basic idea some caution....if you try this without thoroughly vetting the other 1/2 of the equation (no small feat in itself) doing this will lead to disaster and simply perpetuate the may ills and issues its trying to help resolve.....
True, but aside from obvious extremes (psychopathy, drug addition, etc.), you can both be a piece of work and still have a solid relationship with your kids and be glad you had them. Not to minimize the issues that you can have or how brutal those things can be to go through, but people -- even kids -- are resilient and can have rewarding lives in spite of those problems. So I would still encourage people to start families, even in spite of those risks (which are very real), but definitely vet the other person as much as possible to weed out anything really dangerous.
