The climate cultists would have us believe that the climate change issue is so dire that we should be willing to trade our children’s mental health, accept global slavery (in China, the Congo, and other locales), and end our very way of life because the temperature is going to rise and produce outcomes which they constantly predict incorrectly.

By far the worst of it to me is not their dishonest grifting and intellectual incoherence, it is there willingness to sacrifice the lives of millions of global poor. With every policy that increases the cost of fossil fuel and hydrocarbon energy, electricity in general, they shut out forever all those (close to a billion) who eke out their lives (and die from indoor pollution) burning wood and dung from ever gaining access to what they need to live decent lives, and ALSO drive millions who have pulled themselves out absolute poverty right back into it. This to me is the real literal genocide that is on the imminent horizon. They decry Western imperialism as the great evil, but environmentalist tyranny over the developing world is a far worse form of imperialism. Even more maddening, if you point out the reality of this to the zealots, they don't deny it, they double down, saying there won't be a planet for the poor to have a decent life on unless their draconian policies are implemented right now. It's sickening.
